In Loving Memory
It is with deep sadness that we share with our MES/LV community that our PE teacher, Brian Palmer’s, oldest son, Andrew, passed away unexpectedly this past Sunday, May 5th. Mr. Palmer has been a beloved PE teacher at Matsunaga Elementary for many years. He has touched the lives of nearly all of our students and inspired a love of health and fitness in them.

International Night

Our 9th Annual Matsunaga/Longview International Night is coming soon! Join us and travel around the world exploring the many cultures of our school!

SPRING TENNIS AT MATSUNAGA IS HERE! The Montgomery TennisPlex and the MES/LV PTA continue to offer of the popular before-school tennis clinics.

Program Options:
TWO days a week: Tuesdays AND Thursdays (16 classes), 4/9/13 – 5/30/13 Before school 8 AM to 9 AM, $260
ONE day a week: Wednesday OR Friday (8 classes), 4/10/13 – 5/31/13 8 AM to 9 AM, $140
Registration is now open. First come, first served!!! Click here to register. Registration is online only.
Registration is limited to the first 20 students per session. If registering more than one child from your family you must register each one individually.
Important information:
- All equipment is provided
- Wear sneakers!!!! Please dress in loose, comfortable clothing

Hi Matsunaga/Longview Families –
A huge thank you to our PTA Membership Platinum level donors! Here is a video showcasing our 2012 Platinum Tennis Event last week. Our Fall membership drive went exceptionally well — thank you to ALL our PTA members for their support!
As a benefit to out MES families, Montgomery Tennisplex is offering Matsunaga/Longview parents a special rate of $50 for 5 one-hour lessons for a limited time. Check out the Montgomery Tennisplex website or pick up a flyer in the MES front office to take advantage.
Online registration for our second session of MES tennis club in the MES Gym will begin next week. Look for registration listserves next week.
