You are invited to International Night for a grand tour around the world! You can visit country displays from different continents and sample traditional food.
There will be a special table displaying ’Popular Dishes Around the World’. Please bring a popular dish (labeled with the name and main ingredients) from your country or region to be proudly displayed at this table.
The event will be held this Friday, May 18th (6:30 – 8:30pm). Wear your traditional dress and join in for a parade starting in the gym around 7:30pm. You can also see the amazing Heritage Project posters created by our second graders! Come enjoy a fantastic evening!

MCPS continues to support the African American Festival of Excellence (AAFAE). The AAFAE has a long and proud tradition of honoring the academic achievements of MCPS African American students in Grades 3-12.
Elementary students in grades 3 or higher must have “Proficient” or “Exceeding Standard” in all subjects for the first and second grading periods of the 2011-2012 school year. Students must be performing on or above grade level in both reading and mathematics.
