  • To raise the standards of home life.
  • To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
  • To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
  • To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental and social education

Our Website

The Spark Matsunaga Elementary/Longview School Parent Teacher Association's website provides our educational community with 'instant' access to timely updates and valuable program information.

The Matsunaga/Longview PTA website also acts as a great resource for its members. The All About PTA folder provides key PTA information for our members.  It contains pages with lists of the PTA officers, information about joining the PTA, membership forms, and job descriptions for officer or chairperson positions. The PTA Newsletter section of this website is great to review to remain apprised of ongoing activities.

The Tips for Parents section has been added to the site so parents have a place to go for resources that will encourage them to take an active role in their child's success in school.
